Do you need strategies to stay motivated on the keto diet – especially when the scale isn’t cooperating? For me, the answer lies in celebrating non-scale victories as opposed to obsessing about numbers on the scale. I lost 140 pounds with DIRTY, LAZY, KETO by celebrating the behavioral changes I made along the way. In today’s video, I dispel common weight loss myths. Then, I do a little show and tell – I share my personal highlight reel of non-scale victories (NSVs) from my own weight loss journey of losing half of my entire body weight.
Will power can only get you so far. It’s normal to have your motivation wax and wane. My secret to achieving keto weight loss results was to focus on the non-scale victories when times were tough. These emotional milestones motivated me to continue despite obstacles in my path.
As I explain in the video, non-scale victories are private moments where you realize – hey, this is working! Being able to cross your legs comfortably, shop for smaller sized clothes, or climb the stairs without running out of breath are all examples of NSVs. These moments, I’d like to argue, are more important than watching for a number to appear on the scale. NSVs are evidence of your success!
What non-scale victories are you celebrating on DIRTY, LAZY, KETO? I hope you’ll share them with me!
