Why is Losing Weight on Keto so Hard for Me #47, S.4

There are bound to be frustrating moments when you worry, “Why is losing weight on keto so hard for me?” It’s normal to have ups and downs during the weight loss journey. You are not alone! The trick to surviving (and thriving) during a lull is to press on. Here are some tips to help you through the dark moments of panic.

Why is Losing Weight on Keto so Hard for Me?

First, separate myth from fact. Is eating healthy food really impossible or are you creating artificial roadblocks? Take a step back. Identify the lies you are telling yourself. Here are a few common examples:

“Keto doesn’t work for me anymore.”

“I can’t lose weight because I’m in menopause.”

“Keto is too expensive.”

“My family doesn’t support me.”

“I can’t ‘do keto’ because I’m allergic to (or don’t like) ____.”

Next, in order to get past these self-defeating thoughts, force yourself to focus on the positive. What has worked for you so far in the keto journey? Think with logic, not emotion. Circle back to the basics like eating low-carb vegetables, drinking water, and staying away from keto convenience foods. The keto diet is not magic. When you follow the steps, it works!

Finally, the last step to overcome falsehoods like “Why is losing weight so hard for me” is to take action. Only small steps are needed! Focus on making one little change (right now) and then do it again. That’s it! You’ll soon discover that incremental actions add up quickly. Before you know it, the slump is over and you’re back on track to achieve your keto weight loss goals.
