Hidden carbs are everywhere. It’s hard to know 100% what’s in our food and drink. Manufacturers frequently change product formulations to try and extend the shelf life, cut costs, or improve the taste. As a consumer, we are often left in the dark. What can you do? I have found the most effective way to uncover hidden carbs is to cook my own food and carefully scrutinize the labels of packages. I’ve become increasingly savvy about finding the lowest carb options, especially among competing brands. In this short video, I start with a quick review of how to read a nutrition label.
