What the best keto comfort food? Keto foods that don’t cause us to gain weight!
Most of us are stuck inside our homes these days. Even if we are working outside the home, after a shift, it’s right back to home quarantine. Boredom, stress, and anxiety are not helping the situation. The keto diet gets even more complicated when you aren’t feeling well. How do you manage being sick on keto? Here are 10 keto comfort foods I recommend including a delicious cinnamon chaffle sticks recipe and keto cereal recipe (which I explain how to make in the video).
When I’m at home, I tend to make at least 1000 trips to the kitchen a day. When I’m not in the kitchen, I’m often thinking about what to make for my next snack or meal.
Am I alone with this problem? I don’t think so!
Instead of “fighting the urge” (#unrealistic), I’m trying to “work with myself” and not against. Right now, I’m craving keto comfort foods like keto soups. What about you?
Instead of eating a whole pint of low carb ice cream (don’t judge), I’m trying to make healthier comfort food choices. Lately, I’ve been making a lot of DIRTY, LAZY, KETO soups. They feed my whole family and are easy to make with whatever ingredients I happen to have on hand.
When I was interviewed by US News and World Report, I shared one of my favorite budget soup recipes, Dolla Store Pumpkin Soup from The DIRTY, LAZY, KETO Cookbook (Simon & Schuster, 2020). I’m attaching screenshots of my interview above, but you can read the full article about keto soups here.
Warm bowl (after bowl!) of soup makes me feel calm and comforted. #quarantinetruth
We have to do our best to get through this crazy time. If that means eating more comfort food, then do it. By making mindful choices about the types of comfort food we eat, it’s still possible to lose weight (or maintain your weight loss) with DIRTY, LAZY, KETO.
Whatever you do, don’t give up. We can get through this – together!
I’m here to support you.
